Panel Discussion: Bandana Sinha, Avinash K Singh, Hitesh Sahni

Alumni Speak was partly suspended for all of 2020 due to people adjusting with the lifestyle changes that COVID-19 imposed. The first session of 2021 was kickstarted with an open house discussion. The panel consisted of three distinguished alumni from three completely different professional backgrounds. The event was well attended by about 50 plus attendees, which consisted of Institute professors, current students and alumni.

Bandana Sinha (CS 1989)

  • Global Delivery head, Business Analytics -Life science, healthcare and public services with TCS.
  • Illustrious career with TCS for over 30 years and has held various roles in India and US.
  • Expert in spearheading large transformation programs and incubations.
  • First lady Resident manager for a branch at TCS, has been the CIO of TCS, and was program director for the first billion dollar program at TCS.
  • Hobbies include traveling, playing with kids and pets and teaching.
  • Founder member and first VP of IETLAA

Avinash Kumar Singh (EE 2007)

  • A 2012 batch IFS officer
  • Deputy Chief of Protocol with Ministry of External Affairs, GOI.
  • Currently based out of New Delhi, India.
  • Before his current role, held various positions in Indian Embassies in Paris and Islamabad
  • Has dealt with many issues of bilateral importance.
  • Area of interest is following political developments in the neighbourhood
  • Hobbies include trekking and travelling

Hitesh Sahni (CH 2008)

  • Head of Global Customer Service, Vaccines Supply Chain, GSK Vaccines.
  • Currently based out of Brussels, Belgium.
  • Has held different functions and roles at Novartis in US, Germany, UK and India.
  • Areas of expertise are Vaccines/Pharma operations, supply chain segmentation and general management.
  • At IET, Hitesh was a part of the dramatics society and acted in various plays across different genres.
  • After IET, Hitesh completed his M.Tech from IIT Bombay.
  • His hobbies include travelling and photography.
